Peeps, Pets, and other stuff.

(There are a lot of pictures
here, so it will take a while to load if you are on a dialup
connection.) |

I got a little snow during the winter of 2005/2006.
(Yes, I need to paint the garage door. The soffits and trim used
to be that color as well, and the roof was close - yuk. New roof,
gutters, soffits, trim, windows, and doors - yike$.

Meeko.
My sister made me adopt him in May of 2004, at age 2 1/2. He's a
good cat, but he used to get a little wild. He used to run down the
(uncarpeted) hall and leap up on the end wall to stop. He then
changed to leaping up and grabbing the door frame, then sliding down. He
still
likes to tear up paper and cardboard with his teeth, and chew on
plastic. He has extra toes, which is pretty neat. He loves
to get between me and the computer, which is quite a nuisance.

Fancy
(1990? - 2005). It wasn't a proper name for a man's dog, but she knew her name when I got
her, so I figured why confuse her. I got her in February of 1992,
when she was (estimated to be) 1 1/2 years old. In 2004 she became
an
outside dog, as she became rather senile and was regularly forgetting to tell me when she needed
to go outside ;-(

Mickey (1988-2005).
He was
named by my sister, in honor of her favorite actor rodent. She made me adopt him in the summer of 1988.
Mickey was a tiny guy then,
but within a few years he was up to a very chubby 18 pounds. He
trimmed down in his later years. He was a great napping companion.
 |
No, he was not
getting down, he actually slept in that position.

Fancy liked
to clamp
down on Mickey's head. She never hurt him, she just made him
mad. (It was payback for all of those times he chased the late
Alexandria around the house - she hated playing with him.) |

When I worked in
a clerical position, this was my workstation. Bins, phone, credit
card machine, PC, and fax all within reach, with plenty of desktop space
as well. There's very little scope for improvement, I'd say.
When I worked in technical service, this was the room I designed when the
boss said "make it look like a lab". I disliked the idea
of having all the parts and tools behind closed doors or in drawers, but
quickly took a liking to it. (The left side of the room has
workstations that match those shown). When tidy, the room elicited
"wow"s from visitors. But when things got crazy it could
become .... less than tidy. (Stage Two was to be a matching desk
surface with filing cabinets, placed in the lower right of the
picture. But there never seemed to be time to get that started
;-(

The McQuinns (Mike and my little sis Lea Ann).

The McQuinn Residence (after the new windows and
doors). |
Halley
is one of my sister's cats. She made a good
pillow for my post Thanksgiving dinner nap.

|
Erica
is my cousin Michelle's #2 daughter. I think she was 3
when I took
this at her grandfather "Unkie" Chuck's 56th
birthday party. (Wish I'd had a better camera.) |

My friends Mandy and Jay were wed at
XFest on September 30, 2000.
As you can see, it was a very dignified
affair. (Owing especially to all the whisky shots that the guy
from Green Day gave her before the ceremony.)
(Regrettably, the streaming
video of the wedding is no longer on line.)

Mandy, with Sidney and her constant companion
"Stinky Bunny".
Kiddie #2 Sally was born March 14, 2005.
